The Bluebirds Study Centre works in partnership with Barrow AFC, Cumbria County Council and Rex Hall Associates through the Playing for Success initiative.

Rex Hall Associates is the organisation appointed by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to provide support and guidance to study centres nationally.

It is committed to:
Sustaining current provision.
Improving the quality of the provision and increasing its impact.
Expanding the number of local authorities (LAs) and schools with access to programmes modelled on PFS.
Promoting innovation, development and expansion to other settings.

Cumbria County Council provide match funding for the study centre, and employ the staff at the centre.

Barrow AFC provides the facility which houses the Study Centre. The rooms have been converted from 2 disused squash courts to a very high specification offering views onto the pitch.

Pupils attending the centre have access to the club and take part in a tour of the ground.
